The desire to acquire huge sums of money has been practiced from the earliest times and our world is full of volumes written about how to get it, but these Bible verses about money advise us on all aspects of money and what our attitude should be.
We are not to love money or toil unceasingly for it, and we are to be content with what we have, realizing that the love of money is the root cause of a lot of the evil in the world.
The Scripture passages tell us that money can keep us from loving God or cause us to depart from the faith. They also warn that those who love money will never be satisfied no matter how much they get, and that when someone gets money too hastily rather than working for it in a steady productive manner, they will usually lose it just as quickly.
These Bible quotes about money suggest that the best situation is a balance between being poor and being rich, rather than one or the other.
Also, the Scripture on debt advises us to avoid borrowing if we can. But, we also must faithfully pay any debts that we owe.

These Bible verses on forgiveness tell us that God wants to forgive us for our sins and this is clearly displayed in the attitude of Jesus toward those who were crucifying him. When looking at the way God forgives us, we can see that forgiveness goes beyond out understanding of forgiveness. When God forgives, he also forgets.
We discover in these biblical passages that God wants us to forgive others in the same way he has forgiven us. We are not to seek vengeance or desire ruin on those who have hurt us and harmed us in some way. Instead we are to leave all of that to our God. And as God’s forgiveness includes no longer remembering out sins, we also need to strive to forget the sins of others and continue to forgive them no matter how many times they have hurt us.

While all followers of Christ have a missionary call on their lives, that is, to take Christ to others, not all of us are called to specific people nor to specific countries in order to fulfill that missionary call.
The seemingly extreme cases where people are directed by God to move overseas in order to share the Gospel is when the term missionary is commonly employed. Let’s discuss how to pray for missionaries so that they may be able to carry out God’s Will more effectively.
While we all have a call to spread the good news of Jesus Christ on our lives, many of us can do that within our local communities. However, sometimes God has unique plans for certain people, and those whom God directs to minister in foreign countries are those we are going to be referring to as missionaries throughout this article.
In one of our previous articles, Tips for Keeping a Prayer Journal, we mentioned missionaries as one group you may want to include in your prayer list. This article is going to give you some ideas on how to actually pray for them once you include missionaries in your prayer list.
Start with their name.
Praying for all the missionaries across the world is a great idea. However, we want our prayers to flow from a little more connection, a little more passion, than a general mentioning. This is why you should start with the missionaries name (or their family name).
Know their ministry.
Connect with a few missionaries whom you feel a similar passion with. Many missionaries have an email or post mail newsletter which will keep you informed and give you specific prayer opportunities. Dont start with fifty, start by finding one, or two, and go from there.
Know their mission.
As a result from connecting with their ministry, you will also get to know their mission. This will give you ideas on what to pray for. A missionary to the middle east will need some different prayer than a missionary to South America. Also, a missionary to a region open to Christianity will need different prayer than someone going to a country closed to Christianity. Last of all, a media missionary will have different needs than a missionary establishing clean water supply.
The Three Ps – Protection, Provision, Power
Protection
While some missionaries move into hostile environments, and others not so much, it is still good practice to pray for God to protect them and their families. Not all harm comes in the form of physical assault. Praying for protection includes asking God to protect their minds, their hearts, and their emotions.
Provision
Missionaries usually give up everything they have in order to go follow Gods desire for their life. Normally, missionaries will go for months or years without seeing, sometimes without contacting, family or friends from their home. In addition to praying for financial support, prayer for friendships, relationships, opportunities, and workers to join their cause are all included in Gods provision.
Power
A missionary will be ineffective without Gods power. Asking God to give the missionary His Holy Spirit to confirm their message with signs and wonders, wisdom and power, is essential for their task. Requesting God to supply them with the power of His Holy Spirit to overcome all obstacles, physical and spiritual, will help their ministry move forward effectively.
Pulling it all together.
No this is not a fourth P. This is a suggestion on what prayer for missionaries may look like. Some people will sit with their prayer journal and go through the list they have made, praying these bullet points for missionaries. Other temperaments and personalities will not be able to do that. Here is a final suggestion on how to pray for missionaries as a family:
Grab a card of theirs (or write their name on an index card) and place it in a bowl.
Write additional information on their card such as place of ministry, mission, and specific prayer requests from their newsletters.
Remember the three Ps – Protection, Provision, & Power.
At dinner time, before eating draw a card from the bowl, and take that time to pray though the three Ps for that missionary and their family. Your kids can draw the cards, and this can make the practice of praying for missionaries a little bit more fun, spontaneous, and random.
All in all, this is just one idea to help you with putting prayer for missionaries into practice in your personal life. There is no right or wrong way, but knowing their name, ministry, mission and going through the three Ps, protection, provision, and power will give you a solid base for effective prayer.

Help me to be the man that you intended for me to be. Help me do what is right by my family and my friends. Help me see what is right and do what is best for the greater good of those around me.
Help me to better cope with life when things don’t necessarily go the way I may have liked them to. And lastly, help me to take better care of myself so that I can be a rock that my family can lean on. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear Lord, last few months have been extremely hard, I’ve been in a relationship for six years with a man I love dearly, we had a great relationship, done everything together but since July he has pulled away in every way possible, I’ve tried talking to him but leads into a fuss and I don’t want to fuss, he says he’s not cheating and would never do that to me, I ask him if he wants me to just leave and he keeps telling me that he doesn’t want me to leave him.
but Dear Lord he makes me feel not wanted or needed and I feel so alone, we do nothing together any more, I never hear from him threw the day, if I text him he doesn’t respond nor answers my calls when I ask him why, he said he’s too busy at work, he doesn’t say I love you any more unless I say it to him then he will say I love you to. I only see him when he gets home around nine or ten o’clock at night, then its time for bed.
Dear Lord please help us he means everything to me, he’s my best friend, I’ve prayed over and over Dear Lord I know you are with me because I feel the strength you have given me to survive the pain and heart ache, but please Dear Lord I’m drained and need your help to save my relationship I don’t want no other man, please hear my prayer for you know my pain help us reconnect and make our relationship stronger, please bring my best friend and my true love back to me….
I truly believe in you Dear Lord and have faith in you and please continue dear lord to give me the strength to be strong. Please Dear Lord touch his heart and let him know just how much I love him and let him know that I miss my best friend and the man that stole my heart six years ago, please Lord help me don’t let me lose him, i’ve been threw so much in my life and when he came alone he completed me and healed my broken heart. Amen
Debt is a tricky thing. How should one deal with debt, and is prayer an effective tool for helping with debt?
Some people teach that you should have absolutely zero debt. Owe no man anything, or let no debt remain outstanding will be quoted from Romans 13:8.
Some people teach that debt is a tool, and you can make money from using other people’s money. There are also various teachings in between the two sides of the spectrum of zero debt and using debt.
Regardless of whether or not debt is wrong, what happens when you find yourself in debt? What happens when you wake up one morning, and feel that you’ve been lied to your for your entire life. What happens when you realize that the following verse from the book of proverbs is true?
Once we realize that debt is not a friendly thing, then we begin to search out God to help us. We ask God to help get us out of debt. Again, there are multiple teachings on how this happens. Some people teach you to give, give, give, and then God will give it back to you ten, twenty, or hundredfold.
While that may be a true biblical principal teaching God’s generosity, the idea behind those expressions in Scripture is not to teach a method for you to get out of debt.
Some people teach that you reap what you sow, therefore, go give money to help someone get out of debt, and God will in return bring you out of debt. Again, great biblical principle throughout the Scriptures which teaches that you get what you give. It’s where we get the phrase treat others how you would want to be treated, or as Jesus said it: love your neighbor as yourself.
So therefore, we can continue to ask God for help. You can continue pleading that God will bring you out of debt. You can keep on crying out to God for Him to free you from this bondage. But the ultimate question is this: Can you pray your way out of debt?
No you cannot pray your way out of debt.
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Praying, faith, and believing that God can do something is great. It is needed. It is the building block of all Christian life. However, it doesn’t stop there. Mental belief is not the destination God desires for us to rest our trust in Him. We are to trust God with everything we are, and this shows through in all of our actions.
So no, you can’t pray your way out of debt. You can ask God for help, and He will help you, but you cannot pray your way out of debt. And while the teachings mentioned previously sound like they will work, they aren’t a surefire way to get yourself out of debt. I’m not saying that God doesn’t honor those principles and help people through those ideals. However, I am saying it is involving a little guesswork because God gave us the formula for getting out of debt. And the formula doesn’t involve those teachings.
My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
if you have struck hands in pledge for another,
if you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth,
then do this, my son, to free yourself,
since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands:
Go and humble yourself;
press your plea with your neighbor!
Allow no sleep to your eyes,
no slumber to your eyelids.
Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
In short, you don’t pray your way out of debt, you work your way out of debt. You ask for forgiveness from your creditors. You ask for your debt to be forgiven and apologize that you cannot repay. You work like crazy to pay off your debts. You run with your head on fire and gather all the cash that you can to dump into repayment of your debts.
Yes God will help you get out of debt, and you should continue asking for His help. God is our provider. He provides for us by providing work opportunities and giving us wisdom. God can miraculously provide you with hundreds of thousands of dollars a moments notice to clear all your debts. However, on the normal, God teaches us to work, and work hard, to get out of debt.

I come to you to request strength during my time of sorrow. My husband decided 2 months ago that he no longer wants to be married bc he is no longer in love with me. He has been acting really selfish towards me and he does not realize how hurt and affected I am by this break up.
My heart is hurting and I feel broken. I pray for strength and the ability to deal with this situation graciously and with dignity. Please Lord I need you bc I can’t do this alone. Hear my heart bc its crying out for your healing. In your name I pray. Amen.
Please pray that my boyfriend can overcome his depression and deep sadness.
Generally he does ok, but occasionally he sinks into a void again and I can feel the hurt. He distances himself instead of letting me be his rock to lean on.
Please help him understand he can trust me completely and he can tell me anything he needs to without judgement.
Please help him totally believe and accept when I tell him everything will be ok and tell him how wonderful he is. Remind him that his smile lights up my world and his happiness means everything. I am there for him always and will work through all obstacles and hardships in life with him.
As a woman, there are often times when I find that my spirit needs to be lifted. When this happens, I sit down and write a daily devotional.
I find that talking to God is the best way to perk up when I’m feeling down. Here are 10 of my favorite devotions for women to help inspire, rejuvenate, and live a life full of grace. I hope you find them as rewarding for you as they are for me.
Proverbs 11:16 A gracious woman gets honor, and violent men get riches.
Lord God, teach me to become gracious in whatever situation I may be in. I may not get piles and piles of money but I believe, by your grace, I will be dignified. I am forever grateful for everything that You have given me.
Be with me, Lord, through all my battles. With the intercession of Mary Our Mother. Amen.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Lord God, I trust you with all my heart and soul. I believe that you have planned something bigger for me, something that I’ve always wanted. Bless me, Father, with patience that I may wait eagerly as you continue to unfold what you have planned for me.
May this plan of yours be of help to others. May they also have the same enthusiasm that I have for the plans you have for them. Amen.
Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
Dearest Father Almighty, teach me to only speak words of kindness like how Jesus spoke. Teach me to be nicer to all those who I come across with . Teach me to become more giving to those who are in need. I pray that I be more gentle with my words and actions to be more like Your Son Jesus. Amen.
Romans 8:38-39 If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Our Father, we believe that you are always with us and your Son Jesus will defend us at all times. We praise and thank You for your loving presence. Thank You, Father, for always being there for us during the times of trouble. You are with us when we are happy and you are still when we are weary.
We pray that you teach us to become like You towards our family and friends. Teach us to be more supportive of them and how to fight for them when evils comes right in their face. Grant us strength, Lord. All these we ask in Jesus your son’s name. Amen.
Proverbs 14:1 The wisest of women builds her house but folly with her own hands tears it down.
Heavenly Father, we praise and glorify your name for all the wonderful works you have blessed us with. Thank you for giving us the gift of wisdom to do always what is right and choose a better choice at all times.
May we use this wisdom wisely and make decisions at all times. All these we pray with Mary our Mother. Amen.
1 Peter 3:3 Do not let your adorning be external — the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear–
God Almighty, we give you glory for all the works you have brought in our days. Now we pray that you give us the confidence to know that we are beautiful in our own ways, that we do not need piles of make up or layers of jewelry.
Pray for us that we be free from all forms of vanity. We believe that we are beautiful in your eyes and your judgment is the only thing that really matters. May we be free of our insecurities. Without them, we may be free and we may live in peace with ourselves. We pray this with Mary Our Mother, the most beautiful woman that has walked on Earth. Amen.
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Jesus, thank you for saving us from our sins. You have fearlessly died on the cross for our salvation. You have showed us what unconditional love truly means. Lord, teach us to be fearful of Your father. Not because we are afraid but because we do not want to lose sight of him. He has created us and given you to us to have peace here on earth.
We pray to become like Your mother Mary. She has carried you in her womb with no questions. She just did it because she believed in the Father. May we also learn how to trust God with no questions and do his will with all our hearts. In your name, we pray. Amen.
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
Lord God, I pray that I become a better servant to you. I pray that I learn how to submit to you and do all things in your will. May I learn how to rely on you when I am in trouble and even when doing decisions. Keep me under your wing and protect me from the snares of evil.
I believe in Your power as You are the one who guides me and leads me away from Satan’s temptations. Amen.
Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Sweet Jesus, teach us to be contented with what we have. Let not material gifts be the cause of our joy. Teach us to be delighted in what God the Father has given us.
Teach us to be like you, to be strong when temptation comes our way. Teach us not to pay attention to these and disregard them right away. Amen.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Dearest Lord, we may not be as wise as your son Jesus but we trust you and your goodness. We believe that there is your kingdom that waits for us and we will live with you in everlasting life.
May we be fully knowledgeable of your love for us. We do all things for your glory, Lord. Amen.
Women, like men, are strong. With the Lord, they are unstoppable. These 10 inspiring devotions are meant to encourage women to do whatever they want to do and let no sexuality barrier stop them. May everyone who has read these prayers be inspired to be braver in facing their daily lives.
Please pray for protection for myself and my children from our stalker. I had a restraining order against him for many years, which he violated many times. Then he finally stopped bothering us and for several yaers nothing happened so i let the order expire thinking he would finally leave us alone, last week he showed up at my daughter’s school and my mom’s old address. I am gathering evidence to get another restraining order, but. the police still are only really able to do something if he actually harms one of us or happens to still be there when the police arrive, which he never is. This person is very violent, has mental health issues and is using drugs. I am scared for us but also tired of being a victim and always looking over my shoulder. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

[Psalm 145:18]
The command to pray without ceasing is just one of the things we learn in these Bible verses on prayer. We also discover that God wants Christians to talk to him and ask him for the things they need.
Even Jesus prayed and taught us how to pray, suggesting we simply ask for what we need without any necessity of long wordy prayers for God to hear us.
When we do pray to God, we learn that we must ask in sincere faith, believing that God will hear us and answer our prayers. In addition, these passages instruct us that our prayers must be according to God’s will to be granted. And we also must be living a godly life to be heard. Even when we don’t know what to pray, one verse above tells us the Holy Spirit will intercede for us.

20 Bible Verses about Joy
1.
“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,”
With all the Bible verses about joy in the Scriptures, it seems as if joy is one of the main functions of everything related to God. It even says that joy is with him in his dwelling place.
The angels announcing the birth of Christ spoke of the joy that was coming with that birth.
Once we become a Christian, the Bible speaks of the inexpressible joy that reigns in our hearts and minds by means of the Holy Spirit who indwells us. God wants us to have joy fulfilled within ourselves and wants our joy to be complete.
Even in times of sorrow, these Scriptures about joy tell us to be patient with the promise that we will later rejoice and that nobody will be able to take that future joy away from us. We are told that it is our hope and trust in God that brings joy. Joy is the fruit of the Spirit.
