Dear God, I am still in love with my ex. If you are listening to me, you know the pain I am going through. You know the number of times I have cried and my current situation. I love him a lot. I lost him due to my short temper and my big ego, and he also behaved badly in the end. But somewhere deep down even you know how much he means to me. He was immature, a narcissist, depressed, schizofrenic and had Mummy issues…He was also too close to a friend of his. BUT I still feel a strong connection for him. I love him despite everything. I want to help him because he is suffering. Sometimes he thinks that he wants a decent life, a wife (regardless what his Mummy thinks of her) and children. I didn’t do anything wrong to him, but loved and supported him – he knows that! Still, he left me… Went back to his old ways that caused him suffering. Was he not brave enough? I know he didn’t love me enough. But You can change that, Lord! You can show him the way. It would be better for him first of all but to me too… You can help him abandon all those issues with his Mom (as his now married brother did) and that too-close-friend as well. Help him mature. I could understand him, accept him with all his problems and love him like no one else in his life, including his family (even he knew that). A month ago, I made a mistake. I left the most caring man I have ever met because of selfish reasons. My ex boyfriend is a survivor in many ways. He has a lot of baggage and carries more than just his own insecurities. In the last few weeks of our relationship, everything became overwhelming for him. School became difficult, bills got harder to pay, and I became relentless. I prioritized my friends over being there for him. I lost sight of what a woman should be to her man. I forgot that you make a life with your partner, not your friends. I forgot that you have to make sacrifices sometimes and help your partner rather than add to their problems. Less than 30 days later, I came to realize my mistake and luckily when I tried to fix things with him he was accepting of me but I am still afraid. I am afraid he has only just accepted my apology but is too hurt to let me back in. Anytime I try to go deeper with him about how it all got so messy, he throws a wall up. Lord Jesus, I pray that You mend his heart. I pray that You help break him down to only build him back up with Your spirit. I pray you not only give him strength, but me too.
