I would like to pray for my adult children, as well as my grandchildren. My adult children have relationships with non-Christians (one married, one not). My daughter goes to church rarely, and my grandsons suffer because of it, with no relation with God, other than going to church with us. She knows better and does not want me to talk to my grandsons (ages 11 and 9) about becoming a Christian because she doesn’t want them to do it for us, but for themselves. I agree with this, but if they aren’t in church, and if they don’t talk about God at home, how can they hear the gospel? Whenever I try and bring it up to my grandsons, they have the head knowledge but not the heart knowledge. My son is living with his girlfriend, who has mental issues, and has a baby with her. He knows he is not supposed to do this, but has anyway. They have no desire to marry, as they have both been divorced. They rarely go to church, and once again, my granddaughters suffer because of it (11, 9, and 3). If I bring anything up to him about it and about them getting married, they both get very angry with me. What hurts so much is I was a youth minister and music minister for 20 years, and they know better, and have never had the example of anything they are doing. They are living the world’s way and not God’s way. Please pray for them, my grandkids, and us to be given opportunities to say something to them that they will listen to. Thanks.
