After 43 years of marriage and various affairs, my husband decided that he was not happy and had to go and find “happiness before he died”. In a matter of 6 weeks, he left and filed for divorce. He is now living with another woman and it feels like he’s torn our my heart, thrown it on the ground, stepped on it, hit it with a baseball bat, spit on it and then walked away laughing. It feels like he’s trying to crush me and I don’t understand why. I’ve not been perfect by any means, but have been supportive, nursed him through two bouts of cancer and other health issues, and been a loving wife. We were even the chairs of the marriage ministry at our church! It breaks my heart to know that after all this time, he was able to not only throw me away but our three children and six grandchildren as well as he has not reached out to them either. Please pray for us – for our protection and peace – for healing as only God can give.
